No you won't.  You'll make posts about how much smarter you are then Pop because you knew they should have gave him a 4 year deal in 2003. 

Personally I think he will be pretty useless but hay if it works out, good for them.  They haven't had a strickly hustle guy since they let Najera go.

I'm sure he can still provide some cheap shots to anyone who goes after Dirk.  Other than that I can't see how he would help.

Some talk is he'll provide fouls vs perhaps Yao R2 and if neccessary Shaq, along with as you mentioned protecting Dirk.
Avery has done a superior job utilizing Dampier and Diop so it won't surprise me if he gets it right with Willis.
burntoast might be surprised.
