Did anyone notice...
« on: February 27, 2007, 04:06:35 PM »
The west has as many sub .500 teams in the playoffs as the east.

The southwest division has 3 of the top 6 records in the NBA.

The Lakers are the forgotten team in the west - the media covers the top 2, the next 3 and then the teams battling for the last 2 spots.

The Nuggets are the only team in playoff contention with a losing record at home.

Detroit has a bigger lead in the east than Dallas has in the west.

I guess things all balance out eh?

The Southwest division is a tough division.  Who would have thought of that region dominating coverage and the league itself.

The Lakers, over the last 10, should be forgotten with the way they've played save the last few games.

Detroit having a bigger lead makes sense, the west has 3 teams with really good records.

So what is the West vs East head to head records?
Specifically top 4 vs top 4.

Why bother...everyone knows the west top 4 are hands down better than the east top 4.  The best team in the east, Detroit, would rank only 5th in the west and that is with a schedule that favors playing the eastern teams.  Or do you really think a comparison of Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio & Utah with Detroit, Washington, Cleveland & Toronto will provide some insight.

Hey Lurker!

Why bother...everyone knows the west top 4 are hands down better than the east top 4.

I remember saying this very same thing in 2004...look what happened that time, Lurker!
