Rodriguez leads off and I figure out that Pujols is hitting 5th, and if there was ever a time for a dramatic baseball moment this was it.  Eckstien gets a seeing eye with 2 strikes, and Edmonds up.  I honestly thought Edmonds would go down swinging, but not getting cheated doing so.  When he walked, Pujols walks in and I could see it happening.

He then absolutely CRUSHED IT.  What a hitter, and those are the games that make baseball so unique.  Mano a mano against a stud in Lidge thowing in the high 90's, and Pujols wins.

A third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

Just saw Andy Pettitte's expression on Pujol's hit, and he said it best.  "Oh my God", as he saw just how hard he hit it.

LKJSDFLJKSDFLKJHSDJGHJLG:KLSJDGJK:L!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my good Lord!  When it happened, I screamed at my TV, "Now that's what I'm talking about!"

In all seriousness, I was just hoping to get it to him.  If they beat you with the best hitter in the game at the plate, you tip your cap.  Fortunately, he did what he did because he's The Machine.  Unbelievable.

And just to let those of you know, we beat Petitte, Oswalt and Clemens in a three game set right after the All-Star Break this year.  Doesn't mean we'll do it again, of course, but it means we have a chance.  I just wanted to get it back home.  We left Houston down 3 games to 2 last year...
