Any of you young whippersnappers or old geezers listen to Wheezer?

I like "Don't wanna live in Beverly Hills" and "We are on Drugs", an appropriate song for this board.

Other then that don't know.  Got a take on the rest of the albumn?

Its Weezer...wheezer is new slang for an old person.  Like for example Lurker is a wheezer because he gets out breath when pulling his oxygen tank around.

I dont like the album very much.  They kinda switched up their sound to be a little more watered down and pop-y for the masses.  They've always had catchy lyrics, like "Buddy Holly", but they seem to have gone overboard.  The first single off the album proves my point.  Also did not think it was possible for them to have anymore simple guitar rifs or drumming paterns since the first album but they managed to prove me wrong.  The guitar rifs on a few of the songs remind me of a begging guitar tutoring class.

If you really like the beverly hills song...pick up the single at itunes.com dont bother wasting money on the whole album.

Yes the Beverly Hills song is just the three cord repeat.  But i like the sounds the way they tune the guitars.  However I 1st thought it was "Dont wanna live in Beverly Hills."   It's I wanna live in Beverly Hills.  Is this sarcastic or their continuing poppy sellout?  

"All on drugs" i like.  
But if the album is 2-9 then thanks for the heads up.

I agree completely with westkoast.  I was very disappointed with this album.  I recorded three tracks and sold it.  I love their other albums but this one is just dull and occasionally stupid.

I think its sarcasm Reality.  Which I am hoping is the same reason why the musical arangment is painfully simple.  Kinda like their jab at mainstream singles.  The only problem is that theyve always had poppy, catchy singles...so its hard to know exactly what they were thinking.  I think you should goto Itunes, download the 2 songs you like for 99 cents a piece instead of paying 14-17 bucks for the album at the store.  Not worth it.

Jn, I think they make good music.  Still to this day I listen to the first album.  Great album but this one, its like blahh.  They seemed like they tried too hard to sell records.
