Wolves hire Rex Chapman as GM

According to ESPN he will immediately begin work to help out with the draft.

Frankly I didn't see this coming.  It sounded like the current GM, Jim Stack, would likely be retained.

Here's hoping Chapman will provide some fresh insight and not just follow along behind McHale's decisions.   Based on his comments about race after Nash's selction as MVP it appears Chapman is a very blunt guy.

P.S. I haven't commented on Dwayne Casey's hiring because, well, it's very hard to.  Unfortunately to me his strengths and weaknesses as a coach have been overshadowed by his association with the Kentucky scandal and his association with corrupt former Univ of MN head coach Clem Haskins.  I'm pleased that Joe and others here think it's a good hire.

P.P.S.  Fred Hoiberg's future is very uncertain right now.  The Mayor is going in for heart surgery relating to a problem with the Aorta where it connects to the heart.  Here's to a speedy recovery for a guy who I've really come to appreciate during his stint in MN.
