Karl Malone on Lakers last year
« on: March 15, 2005, 10:14:22 AM »
FSN aka Fox Sports Network, the LA version is airing a 3 part interview of Karl Malone.  Hosted by Caroline Hughes, it started last night.

She's asking him super specific questions, ie do you think the Lakers layed down against the Pistons.

He gave a long answer but what i got out of it was no way, he did not think anyone on the Lakers quit, adding anyone in general should not feel bad when they give it their best.  Only when they don't give their best.  Hughes then asked if anyone did that and he said some do/did.     So while I did not take that as being pointed at any Lakers, maybe some of you who saw the interview or see tonights will know.

When asked about his relationship with Koubee, Karel said he wasn't going to go there.  He talked about an unwritten code of things a player should never comment on.  I took that as a definite dig at Kobes dropping the Shaq name in the police interview along with Koubee and wifes allegations of Malone hitting on/speaking corsley to Vanessa Bryant.

As to retirement he reiterated what was accurately reported, that being he did not have the mental drive to continue.

She did not ask him about being the #1 cheapshot in NBA history.

Anywho Parts 2 and 3 will be today and tommorow.  Included will be Malones thoughts on current Lakers.
