U2's Bono should head World Bank, paper urges

Clearly this must be the paper that WayOutWest reads.  I mean come on.  I love U2's music, Bono is a great artist, but head of the World Bank?!?  Get a grip!  What is next, a B Movie Actor or the owner of the Texas Rangers becoming President of the United States.
A third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

Yes, that would be a responsible move.  Hire someone who wants to forgive all debts, giving away all of the banks money!

Never mind the idea of the world bank was to help imporverished countries by loaning them money to improve thir infrastructure.  Never mind that the leadership in these countries is too irrespnsible to know how to invest the money in a productive way.  Never mind that these so-called leaders borrowed the money and squandered it on living large.

Bono is an idiot.  He could do a lot better by becomming a leader in one of these countries and showing how someone with financial understanding could actually improve economic conditions within a country.

At least China has shown the world what is possible in a non-developed country with ample labor.
