well, since I didn't get any reply last week when I asked for the state of the league this year, I'm not way behind in my schedule.

So, commish, would I still be able to make some keeper picks today?

And hey, what a pity I can't keep Brandon Roy ...

Yeah.  This years "deadlines" are less so than in years past, because of how rushed it is.  Looks like we have 10 or 12.  Who are we missing?  does anybody have contact information for those who haven't shown up ?  If not, should we contract them or fill them with outsiders ?

Like I said, WOW is out this year, but Cord said his bro could fill in and do a good job.  I'm cool with that.

The other MIA is Tim (Columbia Penguins).  I've texted him a couple times, but haven't gotten any response.  I'll try again today, but if he doesn't sign up by tomorrow, I say we fill it with an outsider, as you said Derek.

Because of how close we are, what about possibly going just 10 teams deep ?

I'm okay with that, but it kinda screws us from going back to 12 at some point, doesn't it?  In terms of adding two teams without keepers?  Kinda screws any future new manager from the get-go.

But if we have to do it, we have to do it.

Okay, Tim is signed up and texted me he wants to keep Josh Smith and Serge Ibaka.

That means we do need to find somebody to take over for Miguel.

Cord's bro?

I could find somebody last minute, if need be.
