Anyone else not excited by the All Star game?

My interest has waned over the years but this is first year where I have ZERO interest in watching.  I'm glad Flip get's a chance to coach but that's it.  Vince as a starter and Ray Allen making it is appalling.

To me the biggest suspense will be whether Kobe or Shaq get the MVP.

Otherwise I have better things to do this weekend.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

How can you complain about who is in the All-Star game -- it's about votes, not about who deserves it 75% of the time.  Sure, there will be a lot of people who get in because they deserve it -- KG, TD, etc. but there will always be people who make it because of their popularity and/or their hype.  I find it very interesting that LeBron didn't make it with all his hype and supposed popularity.  That has to make Stern question whether or not his hype machine is working correctly.

Wait till gametime before declaring Lebron is not in the game and portions of Sterns hype machine are not working.

There's an allstar game this weekend? personally I have never cared about the allstar game, it is a popularity contest that completey disreguards whether someone really deserves the recognition or not.

The game itself is joke and IMO, a risk to players who need to stay healthy for the stretch run. I feel the exact same way about the Probowl and Major League Allstars as well. In fact, it irritates me that it interrupts the regular season and as far as I'm concerned, drop it or play it AFTER the season is over, at least then a minor injury wouldn't damage a contending teams stretch run.

On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.
