These are a pedestrian's views of an outsider on Lakers-Spurs series.

A good confident start is a must for any game and this must come in the early stages of the match. That is what is called RHYTHM. And then players need to sustain that (in least squares sense) over the duration of the match.

On the Spurs side, TD and Parker have been main scorers. TD, at times, goes into a 'shell' or 'self-doubt' mode (his offensive game) and he fumbles again and again. And though, Parker has been great, he does not have enough experience. Surprised why Horry is not taking more shots. So If Spurs best bet would be to play great defense and limit the points scored by Lakers.

On the other hand, for Lakers, there are more offensive options - Shaq, Kobe, Karl. Their problem is cohesiveness. On Sunday, they showed their potential - whether they can sustain or not, that is different. If they can't, it is a shame considering their resume.

Finally I think Phil makes a great difference in coaching.

yes, i agree, the best way to win would be to be the team with the most points at the end of the game..........

On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.
