Heat advancement looking good
« on: May 03, 2011, 08:59:54 PM »
2-0 and Boston looks like the lacking contender, not Miami.
Bosh was pegged as the weak link earlier this season, but he and the Heat have adjusted and he is certainly holding his own vs Boston.

You LeBron haters are full of crap as usual.

Haslem is still a no go and that might bite Miami.
Nice to see Mike Bibbs contribute.  Shades of his 2002 Championship play.

Old and in the way. Bibby, Fisher, and Bryant.
The real puzzle to me is the lack of PT for Luke Walton. I don't understand at all why Phil has relegated him to pinerider status when he is a far more complete and versatile player than any of the so called 'Killer Bees'.  It must be due to 'trust issues', as Andrew Bynum stated...sheesh

Mark Cuban is cackling at the prospect of a broom being laid on the LAL by the Mavs.

Shaq is supposed to take to the floor Sat for Gm 3 to help save the Celts from elimination.  ;)

We'll see if he can contribute.  Ironic in that i thought his weight control was pretty good this year.  Looks like it.

Hey Reality!

I heard that Doc only expects 'The Big Shamrock' to play 10 - 15 minutes at most...I don't see that little amount of PT making a significant difference in the game's (losing) outcome for Boston. LeBron and Dwyane will be riding into Bean-town on broomsticks in readiness for the inevitable.

RolandoBL,

Didn't see any of The Big Shamrocks 4 minute appearance but sounds like he had virtually no effect.

Did see end of game.  Wade and Lebron simply closed much better then Pierce, KG and Ray Allen.
Very strange end of game D with Doc Rivers having KG guard LeBron (actually some kind of zone??) which allowed Bosh to easily outrebound Ray Allen for the cruicial game altering tip in.

Hey reality!

The old guard (Lakers, Spurs, Celtics) is gone now ~ it's difficult to envision anyone defeating the Heatles fo the Championship. I have an upcoming post somewhat related to this happenstance...stay tuned.

LeBron killed it in the 4th quarter last night ~ the victory was obviously very gratifying (maybe a little ealy for such drama) to him.

These playoffs (?!) have made me familiar with players I've never heard of or forgotten about like no others that I can recall..

RolandoBL,

Interesting stat on The Big Shamrock:  "In games that Shaq was able to log 21 minutes or more, the Celtics were 20-4. Rondo's scoring, assists and shooting percentage soared when the Big Shamrock was on the floor."

But in the end, unable to get on or stay on the floor for the playoffs.  Sadly i think some team will pay him for one more season.

Lebron?  You nailed it.  He killed in the 4th indeed.   This Bulls-Heat series should be good.

I don't know if the Heat support players can match the Bulls, Rolando.

Overall team of Bulls just looks way more cohesive.
That having been said, Heat take Game 2 and it's a whole new atmosphere.
