Why do the Spurs have homecourt?

SHouldn't the Lakers because they won the season series, and they finished at a higher seed???   What am I not getting here, please help.

ummm we have more wins you hoser.....


they got higher seeding becuase they were top finisher in their division, which means they get 2nd seed by default, but we still finshed with more wins, so we get the homecourt...

bracket determination is done by seed.  homecourt advantage is done by record.
