Did the Mavs miss Van Exel?

Dirk definately stepped up big in crunch time but who else on the Mavs squad can you say that about?  The Mavs definately benefitted all year long from Antawn Jamison but he didn't step up when it counts like Nick did last year.

I think that has more to do with the fact that Jamison is playing injured than that he's unwilling to step up his game.

No doubt the missed Nick the quick, he was a stud last year, and has always been a top performer when the game is on the line.  The problem for the Mavs is they have Whitsitt disease.  More talent doesn't make you a better team, and adding Antoine Walker expresses that clearly.
