PS - when did the yankees and angels last play in the playoffs?

2005.  They also bounced them in 02.

Yanks haven't been to ALCS since 04.  Yup, it's been that long.

but not in 08 so the 3 year repeater is broken and the yankees are free and clear of any kind of psychological edge right?

Are you going to cry this entire thread about psychological edge because your opinion on it differs from Rick/mine ?

Rick I've talked to other Philly fans and they seemed to be real concerned with the bull pen.  Two nights ago there was some erratic pitching changes towards the end of the game.  What are your thoughts on that?

I thought Manual managed like a whack job, and that the pitching was fine, except for Happ's walk.

Give credit where it's due. Pedro pitched a great game, but so did Padilla. They needed to score 2 runs to win the game going into the bottom of the 8th. They manufactured the runs, got a break on Utley's error, and earned a win.

Only edge Phils have now is that they won one on the road. Good for the series and the fans. Let's see how the teams hold up in the cold.

Still too pissed to even talk about.  Major props to the Phillies pitching and obviously the bats went flying from the start of the game.

Actually felt sorry for the Dodgers and their fans last night. Lee is our star pitcher, not Hamels, and his performance shows why. The Phils batting has been relentless, and unless the Pitcher they're facing is resilliant and has stuff like Padilla, he's going to get chased off the mound.  I thought everyone, especially the sportswriters would know that about the Phillies, their batting lineup is one of the best tests for a Pitchers ability.

The Dodgers are really up against it now, but there isn't any real carryover from yesterday. Both teams start out with the same number of outs and zero runs, maybe their pitchers today will do a better job. Blanton was the pitching help the Phils got to help them win their last world series, he's turned out to be an important part of their rotation.

Dodgers bats have to wake up if their going to make a series of it.

Good thing the Phillies are coming through, The Eagles are a joke.
