Current team in their prime. Which one is best?
« on: September 01, 2009, 07:30:51 PM »
Saw this on another site.  It's kinda fun.
Current team rosters but those current roster players in their prime.
The Spurs would win, I'm working on my choice for #2.  Leaning towards Mavs.
Feel free to add another team if you think they'd rock.

The Spurs and the Mavericks both look really good to me.

Of course, I'm considering Dampier's "prime" that awesome contract year that he had....

Looking good is one thing....

Being in their 'prime' is another.

SG Ginobili - 32 years old (body is not in its prime)
SF Finley - 36 years old /
PF Duncan - 33 years old
Cc McDyess -  35 years old

I'd hardly say that line up is in it's 'prime'  Only Parker and Jefferson are in their prime on that squad.

Short breakdown for ya B-Rad:

While the rosters are current, each player is to be considered when said player was in his prime age.

Ie SuperGnob in 2005 Co MVP with Timmy Dunkar in the Finals.

So that must mean you are voting for the Spurs with super-stud Finley over the Mavs, right?  ;)

Not necessarily.  There's the MVP-level Jason Kidd, and a height-of-his-career Shawn Marion on the Mavericks.

But I do think that those two are head-and-shoulders above the rest.
