Coach Of The Year to Unemployed?
« on: June 12, 2009, 10:58:12 AM »
According to these latest rounds of rumors, the Cavaliers are supposedly upset with Mike Brown's tank job as coach during Cleveland's loss to Orlando in the Eastern Conference Finals. Pat Riley is supposed to leave South Beach for the Great Lakes, ditch Dwyane Wade for LeBron James, replace Brown and do for Cleveland what he did in leading Miami to the NBA title in 2006. Except for one thing. It ain't happening. Unless, maybe, he could somehow convince Wade to join him.

Thoughts?

Personally I don't see how this is all Mike Brown's fault (the loss) but okay.....

It's a knee jerk reaction to a loss.  IMO Brown is just as good a coach as Phil Jackson.

From last nights post-game press conference:
Phil Jackson didn't seem too upset about Alonzo Mourning suggesting that the Lakers coach is "just showing up" and Kobe Bryant is the one "doing all the work to make the team successful.

"That's a pretty good assessment," Jackson said. "Kobe is doing a lot of the work. I'm just here kind of sitting on my chair."
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

"Laker hate causes blindness"
