Whether you like the Pistons' style or not, you had to concede that Daly was a fine coach.  Between the Pistons, the Nets teams he coached that included guys like Derrick Coleman and Kenny Anderson, and the Dream Team Daly proved himself one of the best ever at managing big egos and odd personalities.   

One thing the article didn't mention was Daly's influence on NBA fashion.  Years ago I read an article explaing that his vast array of top flight suits started a trend.   Coaches and players started trying to keep up with his impeccable appearance.

Could you say the blueprint for what Daly did with all the egos in Barcelona is part of the modern blueprint on how to coach an NBA team since everyone seems to have an ego now?
