Rumored trade that never happened beetween

When Scottie was on the market and a bidding war between LA and Portland ensued, I figured whoever got Scottie would win it all considering the talent those two teams possesed.  I read on another board that after Paul Allen traded for scottie, the Blazers then offered Pippen to the Lakers for Glen Rice,Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher and draft picks.

Anybody heard that before?  :blink:
