Who was most impressive on opening day in the playoffs?
« on: April 20, 2009, 11:18:49 AM »
Rose and Chauncy jump out.

Rose was amazing but I don't think he did much in the OT.  Plain and simple no Rose no win for the Bulls, he kept them in the game and was clutch in the closing minutes.

Chauncy was unreal from the 3-pt line.

Yao was pretty dominant when he was in the game.

Ariza and Iggs had very good games, as did Dwight but they lost.

I missed the Cleveland game but I heard King James was great.

Rose really impressed me.  For a rookie to do what he did, that was really incredible.  Rondo hasn't established himself as a great point, but he did do enough to get Boston a ring a year ago.  He couldn't do anything to stay in from of Rose.

Didn't see Chauncey perform, but LeBron was out of this world.

Dwight had a great game for Orlando- some credit should go to Young and Iguodala for the defense on Hedo and Lewis.  Iguodala's game was mostly noteworthy for the buzzer beater, but he was very solid with his jump shot as well.  It's rare that a game comes down to one shot- but when it does Iguodala wants to take it.

What is amazing about Iggs shot is that he broke his OWN ankles to get free.  The way his ankle bent when he created the space to get the shot off looked like he might have hurt himself.  The defense was right in Iggs face but he still hit the shot.

IMO Rose takes the cake for day 1, amazing performance.
