What was the umpire thinking?

I have watched this 5 times and it is absolutely bizarre.  There is no doubt that the umpire takes a shot at the QB.

If i keep this up I can make some major cash working Patriots games.

Then maybe I'll really hit it big and hook up with David Stern fixing Laker games!
