Ed Hochulis whistle call for the Broncos

Jay Cutler so obviously fumbled the ball that even Great Grandma Shanahan would not argue.

Enter Ed Houchulis ruling an incomplete forward pass and his *whistling the ball dead" to take away the Chargers game ending fumble recovery.  Replay booth, right?  Wrong.  Well right in that Houchulis had to admit it was not a forward pass, but San Diego still got possession of the ball ripped away and Denver got three more shots at the enzone from the 10 yard line because Houchulis had blown the play dead.

Vegas or human error?
Given Houchulis position which was right behind the play, i vote Vegas.

It wasn't the only bad call in that game...both went against the chargers, but the broncos gave the chargers the chance to secure a win by going for 2 instead of kicking the extra point.

There was another godawful replay call in last nights wisconsin fresno state game that fortunately did not cost the badgers the game.
