Billy Volek over Tom Brady
« on: January 15, 2008, 12:59:41 PM »
5-4-3-2-1 San Diego 27 New England 24 as Billy Volek takes a knee for the final countdown.
Volek, subbing for injured Phillip Rivers since the 8:13 mark of the 1st qtr, goes 17-26 with two t.d.s and more importantly no interceptions.  LT, Michael Turner and Derek Sproiels combine for 192 San Diego rushing yards as San Diego wins the time of possession 36:14 to 23:46 and keeps the potent New England offense off the field.
Meanwhile Cromarte picks off a pass intended for Slacker Moss while Shaun Merriman strips Brady for another New England turnover.

Is the above possible?

Sure.  If you believe in String Theory and a multitude of universes with infinite possible outcomes.

Volek isn't a terrible QB.  Heck, he would have started in MN but there's just no way the Chargers can pull it off.

Was Billy Volek dissed in being left out entirely in the Chargers-Pats game.

I say yes, he deserved a shot.
