Praise the honorable WayOutWest, peace be upon him.

Let it come to pass...

That Kwame will have a better year than Flabs!

Yes-SA!

PREACH!

What a prophet!

Even while I was bashing Flabs, I managed to OVER ESTIMATE Bencho's contribution to the Spurs!  5/3?  LOL!   Flabs is just a Duece/Duece little bench warmer!

A nothing stiff ala Rasho.  While the Spurs have had ONE or TWO success stories drafting a foreign player late in the draft you can't expect every bowel movement from the Spurs to be gold plated and rose smelling.  While I think the Spurs are currently the best at meshing talent and salary, they have not shown any noticable destinction in the draft (correct me if I'm wrong fans of the Spurs that have been around beyond the title years).  Elliot, Robinson and Duncan were "like duh" picks.

The Spurs are better served developing Nazr game, they guy has desire and some skills defending the basket.

Thought you might want to read a couple of comments that obviously escaped your reading comprehension.  Isn't it interesting that the Knicks didn't want this guy who can play as well as TD?  I think it's interesting too that they aren't guaranteeing this future superstar (as you seem to think) a starting position?  Hmm!

So what if Oberto ends up being a solid role player?  Will fit just fine.

Fabs Oberto, 2007 playoff Champion stats:
20Gms 12 started 20.8 min 50-80fgs 62.5 fg% rbs off 2.1 def2.9 tot rbs 4.9 pts 5.6 charisma: unlimited.

Sung to the tune of "Mandy"

I remember summer 2005
Scolas Tau contract as cold as ice
A shadow of a man
A face through a window
Crying in the night
The night goes into

Morning, just another day
More free agents pass Spurs way
Looking in their eyes
I see a memory
I never realized
you made me so happy, oh Fabby

Well you came and you gave without taking
but WOW sent you away, oh Fabby
well you hit that layup from two feet now,
I need you today, oh Fabby

I'm standing on the edge of a title
I Walked away when GNob fouled Dirk
Caught up in a world of Maverik mania
The tears are rolling as Cuban celebrates
And nothing is rhyming, oh Fabby

Well you came and you gave without taking
but KupKake sent you away, oh Fabby
well you scored from 1 foot and you stopped me from shaking
I needed you yesterday, oh Fabby.

Yesterday's a dream I enjoy this morning
Laker posters Crying on the breeze
their pain is calling, oh Fabby

Well you came and you gave without taking
and we kept you all year, oh Fabby
well you tapped that rebound out to Manu
And I need you today, oh Fabby

  Well put Lurker.
Some insight WOW on Fabs stats.  He is a role player for the Spurs.  So his averages could be misleading as to what Fabulous has brought to the 2007 Champ table in terms of winnin.  To wit:

Vs Phx Gm 2:  0 points
Vs Cle Gm 1: 0 points.  17 min each game.

Now watch Fabs flexibly role switch as fast as he flings his head and his hair tassles in the wind to the delight of female Fabs fans worldwide and especially in the Los Angeles area:
Gm1 vs Utah 6-8 14 points
Gm 2 vs Utah 6-7 14 points.  Back to back 12-15 for the Fabmeister, putting in 29 and 33 rock solid minutes doing so.  Whether it's handing Timmy Dunkar a gateraide on a timeout, or catching a Duncan pass and laying it in from one foot away, Fabs Oberto, call him scrub, but also call him Champion.

Uhmmmm....yea ok.

I was right and you were wrong.  End of story.

Kwame had a better year than Flabs.  I guess you can throw in any other scrub that rode the pine to a ring but we all know what I was talking about when I made those statements.  Statwise, Kwame had a better year AND better playoffs than Flabs.

Mark Madsen > both of them

Why?  Cuz he had two rings!  I mean if that is how you measure how good someone is then John Salley is one of the greatest 4/5s to ever touch the hardwood.

Also, Jack Haley is an awesome player.  I mean he was on the 72-10 Bulls.

5 playoff games does not equal 22 games in non Laker Math.
22 games of solid role play does exceed 4 games of 1st Round ouster.
20 minutes per game for 22 games does not equal pine tar riding.

I think to expand your mind grasshopper, we need you to envision Kwame on the 2007 Spurs, helping them to a title in 20 playoff minutes per game.  Then with Vic the Brick we can experience peace and serenity in our Spurs univerce.  Let go of the hate, absorb Kwame-Fabs love.

Laker fans shouldn't have any problem understanding Fabs role or value to the team.  Fabs is the Rambis of the Spurs.

He does the dirty work, holding players off the boards.  He gets that rebound that no-one else could get to.  When the pressure is on, he's the one that's open under the basket.

Fabs had a great series and a great playoffs.  I thought he was the Spurs weak link, but he was very sound as a support player for the team.

I would take him over Kwame any day!

Look at their stats, which is what we were talking about, and you will understand.

I totally disagree that Flabs is anywhere near what Rambis was to the Lakers.  Flabs is just not as consistant and FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR below Rabmis's production.  He's more a Mark Madsen type, hustle and smarts but not with the results that Rambis got.

I would take him over Kwame any day!

Kwame is a waste of space but the numbers don't lie, he had a better year than Flabs.  I'd also take Flabs over Kwame because at least Flabs tries, still despite Flabs effort Kwame is more productive because of his wasted talent and physical gifts.  IMO Flabs would be more effective in a motion offense, TD brings everyone to a grinding hault so it's hard for someone like Flabs to be productive, not sure why because guys like AC Green and Ho Grant were productive with Shaq clogging the lane.
