Yes that is the real Spurs consensus, that the front office has failed to address the athletic 3 spot.
Actually REAL Spurs fans know that Bowen has been the SF starter. Spin away Reality but when it comes to speaking for real Spurs fans your track record leaves a lot to be desired.
Wow that's deep. Bowen has been the SF starter. When have i ever disputed that?
So what do you want to call Bob Horry-Devin Brown and Steven Jackson-Malik?
Call them 4s, call them GFs, call them FGs, whatever.
Real Spurs fans know these guys totally contributed in 2003 and 2005.
Diminish away all you want.
Yes. They CONTRIBUTED. They WERE ROLE PLAYERS; NOT STARTERS. That doesn't diminish their contributions it just realizes that they wouldn'ty have been as successful if they played more minutes and a lesser player took their roles.
Horry & Malik don't belong in this conversation about athletic swing players. Jackson is such an outstanding player that he keeps switching teams. Devin Brown wasn't even invited back to camp after accepting more money to play elsewhere. These are the guys you want in place of Bowen??
And that makes you a REAL Spursie.
When i doubt, twist.
So Jackson left. Does that diminish his role in 2003?
So Nazr left. Does that diminish his role in 2005?
Bob Horry 27 minutes in 2005 probably aint gonna be the same in 2007. If Horry ressurects, great.
Suggest that another 2003 Jackson type or 2005 Nazr type would not help? Smell the coffee. I think Elson can role.
Yeah, in 2003 and 2005 I would rather have these guys playing
in addition to Bowen playing.
As opposed to Mike Finley playing power forward, or even SF. Fins did fine as SG vs Dallas but can't guard Dirk or Howard. Who can?
