Clash of the ex Titans
« on: February 14, 2007, 03:15:25 PM »
San Antonio at Detroit.
Last year at this time many had this as the 2006 Finals.
Now the Spurs are happy at getting Marvin Ely and the Pistions are on an 8 game win streak with Chris Webber.

Statement game? :D

Hey Reality!

I personally think that the term 'statement game' is reserved for those teams that have the possibility of facing each other in the post-season to establish mindshare-rights.  Somehow, I cannot see both San Antonio and Detroit getting to the Championship round...the Spurs MAYBE (because of TD), but the Pistons, no way in Hades.

RB,
Not looking good at present for Manu and company to secure 3rd title in 5 years.
However, still a week before the trading deadline and who knows what will really happen.
They are 17-2 when Tall Ball is played with Frankie Elson, who got a career high 18 boards tonight vs the Pistons.

Pops idiotic 1st half of season lineups may be changing....
