Has Lebron learned how to close?
« on: February 16, 2007, 03:02:44 PM »
2nd time in a week that Lebron has outdid Kobe during the last of the th.

Often either a shot clanker or a FT clanker in the last seconds, 'Bron is at least in the last half of 4ths showing his mettle.  Last night 'Bron swiped the ball from Kobe Bryant and horked it ahead to Sasha Pavlovic for a momentum three pointer.

The Kobester did respond late with a catch n shoot trey off an inbounds play, but in the end the Cavs pulled down the rebound of Lebrons missed 2nd FT for the win.

Hate to break up your string of 'let's talk about teams when they beat the Lakers that I don't normally ever talk about' but...

Lebron James did not outduel Kobe in the 4th on Sunday...

I am dying laughing at the fact Lebron has learned how to close all the sudden because he beat the Lakers twice.  You must hold the Lakers in a higher regard then anyone else on this board.  The Knicks are an awesome team now and Lebron is a finisher...not for any other reason then because they beat the Lakers.

Thanks for the laugh!

I'm sorry, but saying a player has learned to close because a teammate rebounded their missed free throw at the end of a game is like saying Derek Harper learned to close because he didn't throw the ball away at the end of that playoff game all those years back.

That was a break for Lebron and the Cavs for sure.
Are you wiping out everything else he did in the last half of two 4ths?

3:23  100-101 Kobe Bryant double dribble turnover
3:04  LeBron James makes 15-foot two point shot guarded 1-1 by Kobme 102-101
2:51 Kobe Bryant turnover bad pass (LeBron James steals)
2:33 Sasha Pavlovic makes 25-foot three point jumper (LeBron James assists)

2 turnovers turned into an immediate 5 points for the Cavs.
rrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaagh Laker Math.  2 turns made into 5 points is not as bad as one missed freethrow.
WooHoo!

Oh so now it isn't the last quarter? It's the last three minutes of the quarter?  I am the liemeister eh?

Reality people would believe you IF in another thread you did not make the EXACT same statement by saying Kobe was outdueled in the 4th in both games.  I showed you they were pretty much neck and neck in the last quarter and you carefully ignored the other 4 minutes of the SECOND HALF of the 4th.

If Kobe responded with a catch and shoot 3 and Lebron responded with a missed free throw...read that back to yourself  :D ....exactly how was he outdueled again?  Also how does that show he can finish games?  Doesn't that prove the CAVS' players can finish games?

I enjoy watching you carefully step around Joe's comment.  Keep up the good work Riverdance!
