If you're gonna intentionally foul, do it!
« on: February 12, 2007, 01:45:28 PM »
Blown intention foul allowing the opposition to get both the foul call and the hoop part 7,777,976,874.
Smush Parker yesterday.
Good back n forth game going.  Kobadiah looked like he might go into one his comas as he hit 4 straight buckets, all with D right on him.
James on the other hand was dishing to teamates successfully.  James fakes a drive and passes out to SideShow Bob for a nice 18 footer.
88-85 cavs.
Laker ball 1:25 left.

Kobe Bryant gets stripped as a couple Cavs team up on him and he gets flustered.  Ball is batted away and Cav Sasha Pavlovic chases it down at midcourt and heads towards the hoop.
Smush Parker is back in plenty of time, in fact he is ahead of Sasha on the way to the hoop.
Pavlovic is going to shoot all the way.  Smush hacks at him.  The hack is so weak it couldn't hurt a fly, (well maybe an L.A. fly) so it really doesn't disrupt Sashas shot at all. He lays it in easily.  Hits foul shot.
91-85 Cavs, all the momentum and basically the game sewn up.

Not putting it all on Smush as indeed Pavlovic may have hit both FTs for 90-85.
Point being, if you are going to intentionally foul, then do it in such a way as player does not make hoop.  Don't hurt someone else by taking out their legs or cheapshotting them, just slap their wrist or whatever.  This keeps happening over and over in NBA.
