Ziggy,
A TEAM OF DESTINY. Just like the 1988 Dodgers. And when the starters got hot - especially in the AL LCS - that sort of clinched it for me.
It didn't play out exactly the way I saw it, but Chicago has won *CLOSE* games at a ridiculous rate all year long. When you've got a team that can consistently win 1-run games, with a hot pitching staff, and the BETTER-BY-THE-NUMBERS pitching staff, it's a team bound to do well. For the life of me, I couldn't understand why the White Sox were getting no love. In the tougher league, they had the best record, and won *99* games...just 1 short of St. Louis's 100.
It just seemed like a team screaming out at me, "We're going to win this thing!"
