Vote for MVP
A third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

I'm going with Duncan.  He should be healthier this year than last, and he's got a lot of help on his team.  That translates to improved shooting percentage numbers.  And it wouldn't surprise me if his free throw percentage is up just due to the fact that it is starting to draw attention.

I voted for LeBron....I think Duncan has too much help this year.  Pop will work hard to limit his minutes and have him fresh for April-June.

It is time for the media love affair with LBJ to pay off.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

I can't go with Shaq or Duncan even though those two are the most logical of choices.  They both just have entirely too much help and both should be seeing limited playing time this year.

I really would like to see Lebron get the MVP also.  I think he has less to work with but his skills naturally make his teammates better.  Which IMO is exactly what makes an MVP in this league.  Kobe, dont think it will happen unless magically the Lakers place higher up in the seeding for the playoffs.  Judging by the defense they were playing the other night against the Nuggets Id say that wont happen.  Dirk I dont think will get it either as hes not an MVP type player.  Just a very good all-star but doesnt really make his teammates better.

I voted for LeBron, it just has that sense of being pre-ordained or something.  Bring in the hotshot GM, snag the hotshot assistant from the dynasty, spend upwards of 130 million dollars bringing in hotshot free agents, all so that you can keep you're hotshot megalosuperstar contending and happy.  Cleveland will make the playoffs with one of the top 4 seeds and Bron will barely inch out a Shaq or Duncan because frankly we're just sick of those two winning every award.

Wade won't win for the same reason Kobe never won.

Garnett and Kobe's teams won't win enough.

So the choice is almost too obvious, then again I wouldn't be surprised if Baron comes out of nowhere to win ala Nash.

The Cavs will have to have a phenomenal year for LeBron to win MVP -- personally, I don't see that happening!

The Spurs, having added Finley, will be challenged by Miami (and Finley could be the Xfactor here).

I wonder how Brent Barry is feeling now?  That's a REAL shame, IMO.

AI.

He's done it before, and if the Sixers have a break-out year, he'll do it again.
