HAHA! Artest is INSANE!
« on: October 24, 2005, 03:47:00 PM »
This from Yahoo!'s "Inside Dish" by Dave D'Alessandro of St. Louis-based (shameless hometown plug!) The Sporting News:

SF Ron Artest told Penthouse magazine that he'd like to fight Pistons C Ben Wallace on pay-per-view for $10 million. No comment from Ben, but perhaps Pistons SG Richard Hamilton spoke for him: "That's comedy." ...

HAHA!  I think I speak for most people when I say I'd pay to see that ... if only to watch Artest get handed his @$$.

Goodness gracious, what have I gotten myself into.  :(

...and by the way I agree Ron Artest would have his molecules re-arranged at the hands of Big Ben.

Big city thug vs the country giant??

I'd hate to contribute to the idiocy by putting money up in advance to see this but I dont think I could help myself.

If Artest stipulates that all funds received by him be donated to charity, I'd be *GLAD* to pay for the fight.

Then again, I believe in spending for education...and I think Artest would quickly learn a lesson.

LOL!  I passed this along to the Pacer faithful.

There's no doubt Ben is stronger,  but does he know how to fight?

Artest may be better at throwing punches.

This isn't wrestling!

Most NBA players don't know how to fight, but somehow I get the impression Artest does.

I don't know, Rick.  At one point I read that Ben had something like eight brothers.  That may be wrong, but if it's true and said brothers DIDN'T teach Ben the ropes, they should be shot.  I know I wouldn't want to parent eight brothers, one of whom is 6'9''!  There'd be NO way I'd try and break up those fights.

But I agree about the size issue.  Size is often overrated when it comes to predicting the outcome of a fight.  If you know what you're doing, anyone can be taken down and defeated.

I dont think Ron Artest has 8 brothers but he is a hot head with a big mouth who use to live in a notorious housing projects in Queens so I am sure he had his fair share of fights.  I can imagine hes been smacked up plenty of times before.

If only we could get them to do this for charity!!!!
