Anyone here about the contract talks with the..

Meant the topic to be 'Anyone hear about the contract talk with the NBA regarding the CBA' I didnt realize I was spelling 'hear' like a 4th grader before I hit post.

Apparently the main issue right now is the length of long term contracts.  One side doesnt want to see 7 year deals (possibly cut them in half) and of course the other side wants the long term contracts to stay in place.  I guess this issue is going to start heating up and may really kill the process of getting a new agreement between the players and the league.  Im not sure what else is on the table to talk about but this looks like the talk stopper as of right now.

One interesting thing I have heard regards Billy Hunter and his use of the race card.  Apparently he not only is quick to call the white owners racists but is quick to break out the Uncle Tom label against any blacks who even suggest that the Union should compromise.  He did that to Michael Wilbon and apparently others.
