Question on trades

What is our trade deadline?  We have said that trades over the summer must be for keepers only.  But what about trades before the end of the season.

For example:

Let's say Drom & I decide to trade Wade for Pierce next week (just an example Drom).  Since the season is not over does Drom have to declare Wade as one of his keepers?

Trades before the deadline have no impact on keepers.  After the trade deadline, but before the draft next year, all trades must include keepers.

But what date is the trade deadline?  The same as the NBA?  So any trades for the rest of the season have to be for keepers now?
