What coaching change took place during the season and saw the team

A.  Win the title
B.  Get in the title game

This year has seen a lot, with George Karl and on the downside Paul Silas out.

Michican, when Glen Rice played for them, won the title with an interim coach.  He stayed on as the head coach since then.

Paul Westhead was made head coach for the 1979-80 Lakers after Jack McKinney was hospitalized/injured/hurt in some fashion.  That team defeated Philadelphia in 6 games for the 1980 Championship - Magic's rookie year.

Team was 10-4, Head Coach Jack McKinney suffered a serious injury in a bicycle accident and was replaced by friend and Asst coach Paul Westhead.  

W.O.W. while your Michigan college knowledge was impressive and i won't insult you by some comparison to a sportswriter, this is a serious breach of Laker Krishnadom.

I will send a car by the Laker House tonight if you need to escape from punishment the Ritualistic Hearing Board metes out.

You didn't specify basketball, let alone NBA.  Plus I was 10 frigging years old, didn't get into pro-basketball until 84.
