Love Elfried Payton, if you were going to take a PG and make him a SG, Payton's it.   Love his quickness/handle and strength for a G. I also think his mechanics are further ahead then Dante's. Next Jrue or Isiah Thomas(The Pistons version)

Happy with Embiid, BPA, really hope we keep him. Aaron Gordon is a reach imo, Orlando fans must be mad right now. They were really attached to Exum.

Not at all, if he develops a jumper, he's STAT(Post-surgery)+ Odom. LOVE his explosiveness/handles for a big.

Embiid-Noel, twin towers. And we avoided the glorified Lou Williams. Good night :)

Philadelphia 76ers / I want Wiggins, PERIOD.

Some fans are arguing over the 10th, 32nd pick.  Others still would want to keep Thad, etc. But the reality is simple: None of them matter.  Not an overhyped Lou Williams(Dante Exum), not Thad Young or some combo of Noah Vonleh, Starting-caliber shooters(Harris, Stauskas, McDermott).  No Julius Randle's not walking through that door. LA'll snatch him up.   Maybe Aaron Gordon'll be there.

But as much as I love Aaron Gordon, he's redundant and without any of the strengths of one Andrew Wiggins. Among many of which being an NBA Swingman.  How much longer do the Sixers plan to "build" a team with no perimeter players?  The last perimeter guy was Andrew Toney, Allen Iverson if you're being generous.

You win in the NBA with Wings or Bigs, or both.  And for the first time in YEARS the Sixers have an opportunity at both(Noel at  C).  Does Andrew Wiggins carry risk?

None, at all. At least for us. For CLE? It's a big risk. For Mil? They want Parker. ORL? They need a PG more than anything.  But because of Brett Brown's Motion Offense, our fast break and because we have Michael-Carter Williams, the risk is nonexistent.

Look at that body control, the pure  7 foot wing-span. The lateral quickness, the 44" Vert clearly on display.   Moreover, it doesn't look like it due to his calm demeanor, but he has nice touch in general. He's not a raw athlete,he's very cerebral to go along with his gifts.

Then there's his 3pt shot, which'll only get better in rhythm and he'll be a dynamic threat off that alone.    But what I like the most about Wiggins? He's the best off-the-ball player since Rip Hamilton. He'll easily cut from sideline to sideline(if he doesn't have a wicked alley-oop first). He has a split second release that'll just kill you.

Wiggins is a more than above-average defender, who'll be elite as he grows into his very unique athletic  body.

But what about Handles? I'm not as concerned as I was pre-draft, mainly because Wiggins is such a great fit here.  That, and there have been all-stars without a handle. Namely, one Dominique Wilkins:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/wilkido01.html

He already has an edge in being a MUCH better shooter than Nique. If he gets stronger in the mid-block, look out.

So let's repeat the question: Is Wiggins worth all of that garbage? YES. A million times yes.
