Yeah Lurker, Civ 4 has been just ridiculously awesome. I was on it hardcore for about two months earlier this year. I'm a huge fan of all the three previous civilization games but this fourth one really has blown all of them out of the water. How about the introduction of historical people and religion? When your talking turn-based empire builder, few people do it as good ole' Sid Meier. Which civilization (and leader) do you like to play, Lurker?
You also said that you had Warcraft but it lost out to Civ. Which one of the Warcrafts if I may ask?
Warcraft actually belonged to my son and I "inherited" it (as well as Age of Empires I) when he went off to college. It was the first one but I had played Civ so much that I found myself going back to it over & over again.
Has anyone from this group been playing Civ 5? Changes seem to have been very polarizing. Curious what everyones reaction is.

I'm not sure this trade necessarily causes a decline in Bryant's usage rate, considering Howard's (26.1%) and Bynum's (23.8%) are in the same ballpark, despite the large discrepancy in talent on the respective teams. I wouldn't expect Dwight's to be much about 23-24%.

I'm not sure whether or not that matches with 82games. I've sometimes found their calculations to be slightly different than generally accepted norm.
I'll see if I can get it in a spreadsheet format, although I'm guessing probably not. Not that I couldn't, but that Jonathan would probably be pissed if I did.

Well, they're tied pretty directly into each other. The competition pushes down the dough.
But yeah, the difference in pay between the two is considerable enough that it's not even close to being realistic right now.

WS per 48 minutes is .071 for his career, and in his best season it was .105. That is the definition of an average player.
Right. This contract was crazy even if he didn't have a potentially career-threatening heart condition.

You guys make me feel so young and with such an easy life.
I went through a "divorce" of sorts just over 2 years ago as well. We weren't married, but were together going on 7 years. But with no kids, the separation has been much easier. I'm not sure how I would react to a custody battle. Having seen what it did to my father, it's one of my great fears in life.
From a professional standpoint, I'm blessed. Sure, my boss(es) might drive me nuts, but I'm in a steady job with stable income, in a field (network administration) in demand.
From a basketball perspective, I certainly still talk about it, probably more-so now than ever. I scout for DraftExpress.com, write for philly.sbnation.com and libertyballers.com. I've been credentialed for the NBA draft (3x), NBA lottery (2x), combine, draft workouts, player introductory press conferences, as well as being credentialed with the 76ers for everything from games, to practices, exit interviews, workouts, and the like. I can pretty much get a credential for any NBA event that I want. I turned down going to Vegas for the summer league next week just because I'm running out of vacation days.
In time, this very time-consuming "hobby" will likely end, as I have to devote more time to home ownership and family activities, but right now while I'm kid free I'm soaking up the experience.
