Derek... "Cassidy" sent the following message about getting onto this site..

I'm having problems with activating my account on phillyarena.com. When I get the activation email it's just a blank page. When I got onto the site and try to log in it tells me I still need to activate. My user name is Cassidy could I get it activated so I have a place to post during the draft when realgm crashes?

Thanks,
Dave

Can you help him?

Based on what I read from DraftExpress tonight, it sounds like the Top 8 picks are starting to be projected with a little more accuracy.

1. Griffin
2. Thabeet
3. Rubio
4. Flynn
5. Harden
6. Curry
7. Hill
8. Holiday or Evans

With the Pacers having interest in Lawson, I think we need to hope Jennings slides down to us.

that deal's pretty much gone.  I have it on pretty good word that the Bobcats are keeping their pick and have made a promise.

btw, for all the Flynn supporters (of which I was one if we traded up), he seems to be a near-lock to get 4. You can pretty much take him off your draft board

Wow... if Flynn goes 4 then it'll be interesting to see if Rubio goes #3 or slides to Minnesota at 5. If the Wolves come out of this with Rubio and Evans, that'll be an A+ Draft. That would also mean that the Knicks would get Curry and therefore the draft for us will get really interesting.

As of the 9th pick... Jennings, Holiday, Lawson, Maynor, and Teague would all still be on the board.

If SF feels uncomfortable at realgm, he could come over here... I think he registered.

As for the draft, it is like next years team- low expectations.

I think he's a bit gun shy at this point altogether and I don't blame. All it would take is someone from this board to mention a rumor of his either off of the computer or on another message board and we're right back where we are now and that's a damn shame 'cause he was giving solid updates everyday.

I guess the good news that came out of it is...

A) Tom Moore now visits RealGM everyday and gives some insight

B) We lured the Sixers PR department out of hiding and got them to post a couple of things.

If I had my wish though... it would be for all of that to go away and for SF to go back to posting his updates. Did you see the post with all of the links to various sites talking about the SF rumors? There was even some 17 year kid on YouTube talking about them. Man... the internet can be a strange and hilarious place.

TK.... are you going to be around here on draft night? You barely post over on TealGM anymore and frankly... I miss you, brotha! Stop holding out!

As of now, who do you like for the Sixers at #17? SF76 seems to believe that it'll be a toss up between Maynor and Lawson. While I do have questions about Lawson's size (and health to some degree), I'd prefer to see him be the pick over Maynor.

What about you?

You're still going up to the draft, right? Also, any thoughts on Jennings? I remember you saying that you received a ton of film on him.

Is it cool for the annual NBA Draft Night discussion to come over here again?? You know RealGM is crashing like always.

I think Ed went to the theater to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" about 5 too many times. Maybe Ed believes Miller will only get better with time. Of course, this could just be a case of Ed keeping Miller so that Comcast can save money. Ed can offer Miller a low-ball contract and when Miller signs elsewhere, Ed can say, "Well, we were lead to believe that we would have a good chance at keeping him but as negotiations went on... it became evident that Andre wanted to play out West".

Ed saves face with the general public, saves Comcast some money in a tough economy, and begins the PR spin about how Lou Williams has learned for the past 2 and half years from one of the best PGs to wear a Sixers' uni.

Well put, tk. I question what the plan is with Stefanski. I'm just not a fan of the mixing up 30+ players with 21 year olds. It's the weirdest mix in the NBA and based on what I hear/read... Ed wants to keep this mix together.

I believe the correct name should be Andre Egodala.

Anyone else think Ed Stefanski's honeymoon ends Thursday at 3PM? I'm not saying he needs to make a deal (I think he should trade Miller) but the man has experienced ZERO heat from this fan base up until this point. After the deadline, I think that changes.

He's old news at this point for me. Anywho, it's cool to post back over here. There's a group of posters who I really enjoy reading (tk, ankle, skates, etc) and they all seem to be posting less and less on RealGM. At least bebop has been posting over there to help make up for a LOT of the nonsense. I find myself either directly involved in or mediating a lot of back-and-forth pissing contests. Most of them seem to involve the same two posters but whatever... that's message board BS for you.

So anyway, anyone have any positive feelings toward this franchise? I just wish I knew what we were trying to do (be a young team building towards the future or a veteran team lead by Miller and Brand who are looking to contend in the next 2 years). I don't think we can be both for much longer.
