Where's this report of Iguodala looking for 5/$70mil?

Iguodala's doing what he, as an employee of the NBA, is entitled to do. Let's not get too riled up over reports of what he wants and such. And the "he hasn't done jack" argument doesn't fly with me. He's proven himself as a player on the rise in this league, and he should get what he can.

There's a comparison to be made in regards to each of their styles of play. In terms of what each should be making based on what they've accomplished and should accomplish going forward, it's a difficult one.

I don't see how the Ellis deal would affect Lou's asking price. Right now, there's not much of a comparison IMO.

SUPPORT OUR HOOPS......NBA '08, It's everybody's duty as an American to support our national game.

That belongs on a ribbon.

Let me also say that I feel Ellis got too much money, for too long, for what he's done and what they think he'll do, and the GM is Chris Mullin

My sentiments exactly. My feeling is that with Davis gone, Ellis' ppg will go up slightly, but his overall offensive numbers/production will not equal what he did last season.

I think Ellis recognizes that with his build he may not last forever as a SG in this league and may not be as much of a star outside of that system in GS.

I don't think he'll be much of a star without Davis next to him in the backcourt either. Smart move on his part to cash in now.

Article in the NY Post about the Nets looking for "Minimum-wage types such as Kareem Rush and Royal Ivey". If Rush is really a vets min. type guy, wouldn't it be in Ed's best interest to look at this guy? 39% from the arc alone makes him intriguing, IMO.

The question would be how far you think Thad is from equalling Prince at the 3, if at all. I could see it happening not this coming season but the following year, where he's putting up similar numbers, but still only 21 years of age. Given that, I'd rather just hold onto Thaddeus. Known quantity or not, I'd like to hold onto some of that long-term potential.

I don't think age would matter in the case of Hamilton. There's not a huge, long-term investment for a guy on the down-swing. He fills a need, he's more affordable, and he performs in the playoffs.

What about Rip Hamilton for two more years? A true two who can shoot, doesn't have injury issues, and is still relatively in his prime.

I thought the nets wanted 2010 cap roomm, i can't see maxing out iguodala helping that

And you can't ignore Evans deal, either, if that's part of it. That's an additional $5mil on the books, as opposed to just renouncing Williams and Boone if they want that summer. Of course, Williams wouldn't be a part of that now.

I remember Speights and Koufos being in the top-3 as well.

Jersey's Marcus Williams is an efficient PG when you give him minutes, IMO. I want him. Maybe not "Smith and a 1st" want him, but I'd try very hard to acquire him.

I was actualy being serious.  I like the kid from Arizona's potential more.

He's not much of a player, though. The Spurs could really use some "potential" on the wing, and they didn't want him. He's a D-League talent right now.
