biggest FA signing since the Moses Malone signing.  on the other BK would have f*%ked this up if he were still the GM.

Props to Fast Eddie who kept his cards close to him, quietly working the details then big turn of events in the last 24 hours.

anything from this point on forward it out of fast eddie's hands.  he tried everything he could to clear cap space and offer the best possible contract to brand/smith.  now only if bk didn't sign willie green with that contract we could have more cap space.  i can only imagine what would bk do in this situation.

I read somewhere that the sixers most likely would make an offer on Wed 7/9/08.  The cap would be establised that day.

To tk-76,

Good luck on your endeavor in Singapore.

Elton Brand & David Falk were in Philly?

Brand's agent, David Falk, could not be reached, though sources said the pair was in Philadelphia on Thursday hoping to lure the Sixers into the bidding. League sources said that Brand is ultimately expected to join Davis in Los Angeles.

why lure the sixers in a bidding war when i don't think we have enough money to offer compared to GS & LA.

Biedrins is a good offensive rebounder. normally he gets his misses however not a very good FT shooter.  not a bad Plan C type of player.  what about Meka?

i'm pleasantly surprised with this board. i'm a longtime member of the "other" board and maybe i've had 4 posts in the last 3 yrs. due to reasons mentioned earlier.

it could be a S&T however, i don't understand why Ed would have reservations offering him the max deal. unless Ed's main target is josh smith.
