You dont have to pay Iguodala whatever he is asking. Have we forgotten the 2008 playoffs already? There are alot of areas of his game that are inconsistant, and is probably at most an 18 ppg on this team with Brand here and Young getting more time. We're not even sure he can be a fulltime SG. The point is that bad contracts drag a team down. If Iguodala gets a huge extension and does not perform, like in the playoffs, things will get ugly with the philly fans.

Have you forgotten the rest of his career or that there's more to basketball than points per game or what players of equal iguodala skill make around the league....

Dear god people Iguodala is NOT willie green, he's not fungible, he's not easily replaced, he's a key high level piece of a team that wants to win a title...if you let him walk and sign an inferior person than that 'full step' you took forward by signing  brand not has a pretty substantiali partial step backwards...

The point was that you shouldnt overpay him. If Ed does overpay, then he didnt do a good job of negotiating.

I think Iguodala will average 17-18 a game. I also think his assists will go up and his rebounds will drop. AI likes to pass the ball and Brand, along with young and Dalembert, should get alot of touches

Ed Wade..I can't believe he ever was allowed to be a GM again. I love that he traded us Brad Lidge, pretty typical Ed Wade.

Getting back to Basketball...TGP, that point about Miller playing for LA and leaving for Denver, which isnt really the west coast, is true. Still, the media out here on the east coast is more hectic . Dont forget that he was asked if he would resign with Philly, and his answer wasnt incouraging.

I want to see if Lou Williams can play point guard, and if not this season then when? If we can trade Miller for Marion then they should do it. Even if they sign Josh Smith it's still a good move because Thad probably isnt ready to be a full time starter now, and Marion could play the 3.

Toronto is going to be an interesting team this year with all the changes. Does Barganni step it up or is he a bust? Detroit could slide some, even though I like the coaching chage, Billups and sheed are going down hill. Cleveland stinks, without Lebron they are a joke. The sixers are a dangerous team. If they add Smith or Marion, and a shooter, they will be in a great position.

And if he can't be the sixers are screwed, that doesn't make any sense, and i'll say it again, they should know already before devoting a long term deal to him what he can and can't do

All I'm saying is that this is Lou's 3rd year and he should be ready to take over a starting position. The sixers are better off trying out Lou Williams at the point for a year, and seeing if he has what it takes to be a PG. Worst case scenerio he goes back to being our top bench scorer. I'm pretty confident that the contract he signs this offseason is gonna be decent even if he's a backup.

Heinrich at the 2? Not to be ignorant, but is he really athletic enough to play that position? Paxson is a fool who sounds professional when he talks, but has made more bad decisions then anyone not named Isiah Thomas. I agree with TGP, Paxson doesnt have enough sense to pull offf a Marion trade.

Trade Millers @ss and give Lou the starting spot. We might as well find out now if he can be a PG.

Hey guys, Im switching to here because I can't take  it on the other board any longer.

Quick thought, what if the sixers dont land Smith. Why hasnt Okafor's name come up? Couldnt he have signed with the Bobcats already? I know that they will probably match anything, but on paper, he looks like a good fit in Philly.

Someone brought up the PG situation. This bothers me. Unless Ed truly believes that Lou is our PG of the future, he should start acting quickly on this. Is Felton available now with Augustine in there?

Man am I hyped for July 9th tocome around. Why does the NBAhave to do this? July 1st, July 9th, what the hell is the start of FA?
