Haha, didn't you guys have to watch a bon jovi concert or something? You've got five more years of drought before you even reach the level of suffering a bon jovi concert would entail.

Winning without a superstar is hard, but then again how often can you find a Duncan, Shaq or MJ.

Unfortunatly, that's the harsh reality of the NBA.

And if Speights actually meets his potential... well, let's just say that we can forget about the Celtics being our biggest rival and that we will get very acquainted with the Blazers in the Finals over the next 15 years.

We don't have a franchise player for the next 15 years. I think Thad can be better than Andre, but I don't think that makes him a #1 player. Without a guy like Brand, we're a middle of the road team.

I think the %s are that high as long as everyone buys into a good defensive philosophy, like Boston. Pierce, Allen and KG don't win a thing without that defense.

I would think defense would be a given with this roster.

Assuming Brand is fully recovered, he will be a great defensive presence next to Sam.  He boards, blocks and is quick enough to use for traps.

I also expect Iguodala and Young to be one of the best defensive swing combos in the NBA.

Miller will always have problems against amall/quick PG's, but he will have a great amount of help.

It would be great to keep Evans, but I expect Smith and Speights to be decent defenders with time, and Carney could become a high level defender.

But it was team defense that won a championship for the Celtics.

Jem, is this the kinf of thing youre looking for?

I don't know if they want to give up Andre. But if that's what it came down to, they'd rather have Brand than Andre. (myself included)

I don't think theres any question that it will have to be a S&T. I can't see the Clippers just giving him away (at what, 12 million a year) without at least getting some picks in return.

He'll still only be 20 at the start of the season. I wouldn't be suprised if Lowry ended up with more minutes then Critt this year,
