Title: Yao has retired.

Too bad the guy did not get a chance to live up too his potential.  IMO he should have avoided playing for China in the off-season.

I think there's no question the extra work for the national team damaged him.  I suspect he would have had injury problems anyway but that certainly added to them.  Of course I don't think he had much choice in the matter.

Remember when Reality thought Yao Ming was going to beat out Shaq when it was all said and done?  ;D
