Title: Will we see Splitter at all in the playoffs?
Post by: Reality on April 21, 2011, 05:49:16 PM
Almost 7'0" tall and the Spurs had to wait 4 years to sign him, and he produced in virtually every game he was given some extended minutes (15+), yet with Timmy Dunks for the 4th playoff year in a row urgently needing some length beside him, we have seen NONE of Tiago Splitter in the 1st two playoff games.

Will Gregor Pop play Splitter at all?

Stats, courtesy of Aggie Hoopsfan:
Adjusted per 48 minutes, here are the rebounding and block stats for all of our bigs:

Rebounding (per 48)

Blair, 16
TD, 15.2
Dice 14.4
Splitter 13.6
Bonner 8.2

Blocks (per 48)

TD 3.2
Dice 1.3
Splitter 1.2
Blair 1.1
Bonner 0.7

Welcome satori.

Last night..... :-[
Even after McDyss went down, the petty dictator stuck with Bonner and kept Splitter glued.
I think it's over my friend.
But alas, lets see if the Spurs players can get it to 2-2 on Monday.

Hey, y'all:

No way! (as in the movie).

I repeat, the Spurs are most likely headed to 1st round oblivion...they look lifeless. Put the 'Jordan Rules' on Ginobili, and watch them slip under the muddy brown waters of the Riverwalk. No dis, I'm just sayin'.

Hey 'Ro what up.
Vancil and koast are amoungst the decieved who thought Greg Poppycocks use of Matty Bonner was a wise move and he would be proved right in the playoffs.
This dilly of a pickle just in:

He lead the league in 3 point percentage!!! (Currently ranked #39 in playoff 3-point percentage)

Roger Mason Jr (#32) and Keith Bogans (#35) ranked higher than him in 3 point %...

WTF are you talking about?  I haven't made any comments about Matt Bonner or how Popavich chooses to use him.  You on the other hand are the king of over rating marginal Spurs players.

I come back only to realize I why I stopped posting on the regular in the first place.

Hey y'all!

wk, don't get mad at Reality, he's just stirring the crock pot to add more flavor. Your viewpoints are both insightful and appreciated, and would be sorely missed.

My old laptop finally died...I'm using my wife's at great risk to my personal safety.
