Hey Derek,
Is there anyway of moving that Draft Start back an hour or two. A friend of mine is getting married that Saturday and I'll probably only get to make the first few rounds. If there is any possible way of moving it back, that would be awesome.
Sorry for the late notice.

if nobody has a problem with moving it back, then it's possible.
could everyone do 1 pm eastern next saturday ?

No problem here

For anyone else, yes. For Skander, no.

Excellent - now i've been 'cajoled' into signing up for another league that drafts tonight and i haven't exactly done the research
anyone know a good 'draft kit' out there ?

jem's post raises an interesting question for everyone:
How many of you do serious preparation for the draft? For my part, all I do is write down a few names of players that I'd like to have, sort of as a reminder of "oh, and if this guy is available, you want to get him." They're a lot of the usual candidates: Richard Jefferson, Shane Battier, Tayshaun Prince - a rookie or two, along with a few folks whose situation has changed for the better year-over-year (Elton Brand, T.J. Ford, etc.). The big ones are usually "player Y was a bench player last year, but will be a starter for a different team this year." That's about all the real preparation I do, aside from talking with Skander and Caleb. I don't do any practice drafts, or put a lot of thought into who will go where.
I don't really see a great benefit into spending tons upon tons of time "preparing."

my "benefit" in spending tons of time preparing is I enjoy it. kinda gets me into the flow of the basketball season, which to this point I haven't really been thinking too much about since the summer leagues.
-
It's funny, because I used to do quite a bit of preparation. Over the last few years though, I find myself enjoying it less and less. Not fantasy itself, mind you ... just the preparation.
I chalk this up to the fact that I've been following the league for awhile now, and I know who I like and who I don't. Not to mention my knowledge of basketball has increased.
These factors have led me to prepare less, and on the rare occasion that I do, I find it quite tedious.
