Very interesting read. Not that most of us have not picked up on what goes on in this regard. Though the numbers and a specific story from an ex-Grizz score keeper makes it a quality article.
How much do you think this has an affect on the numbers that fans use when debating?

It might be a huge thing. Maybe Stockton wasn't really all that and neither is CP3 or Derron now. The assumption has been that they're recording what happened accurately and we're comparing apples to apples, now we're finding out, that isn't really the case.
At least they're not fudging on points, as long as they're not fudging on field goal attempts we can compare the team's relative output. But apparently drilling down to compare point guards assist totals or power forward rebounding totals, has to be done with a grain of salt.

There has always been as lot of this for the home team. Gervin always seemed to get more assists (as few as they were) at home. Just, now, the home-road splits are available for the common fan to see.
