Title: Mavs @ Lakers, Sunday matchup of recent and current MVP's.
Post by: WayOutWest on March 15, 2009, 02:29:43 PM
What a difference a few years make.  Mavs on their way out the door in regards to title run and the Lakers just comming into their own after rebuilding.  Lakers need to stay focused even though they've pretty much locked up HC in the WC but IMO HC is going to be important in the Finals so the Lakers need to stay sharp.

Mavs can get hot like nobody's buisness.

"MVPs are defined as players who score the most individual points, not leading their team to championships."

Not much difference to the Lakers, Spurs, Rockets, & Dallas, all teams that got OWNED by the Lakers.  So much for the toughness of that division 3-0 OWNAGE, Spurs on a B2B.  Wish the Lakers were in that division, they would probably be undefeated.

Props to the Lakers for punking the Spurs on a b2b after punking Ron Artest the night before.   In addition to their two wins at Boston and at Cleveland, they are top dog -for now.

You see, titles arent awarded for regular season play.  Something you dont get.  But having Luke Walton score on 6'2" rookie Hill was indeed genius strategy by the Lakers.  How Phil overcomes Pop I will never know.

Were the Spurs in the Pacific Patsy Division, they might be 55-12 and surely GNob would not be injured, what with the wussified schedule and the unhread of *away* games vs the Clippers.
