Title: Home Court Advantage West Playoffs 2009
Post by: Reality on March 09, 2009, 01:45:20 AM
I know it's March 8th with roughly 20 reg season games to go, but looking ahead at the Home Court Playoff standings...

Will Home Court Advantage play out in 2009 as thoroughly as it did in 2008?  Which was Home Court winning virtually all the way, 6 of 7 series with the exception being the Spurs taking down New Orleans in a game 7 at New Orleans.

The LA Flamers have the #1 spot wrapped up.  How hard should the rest fight for home court? I think a lot.  Once again its bunched:
2 San Antoni  42    20
3 Houston       41    23
4 Utah       40    23
5 New Orlns   39    22
6 Portland       39    23
7 Denver       40    24
8 Dallas       38    25

Home Court West clinched tonight at San Antonio.  It was in question for a moment, but the *jump ball* kept Collusion 2009 Finals on track!

Refs tried their hardest to keep the Spurs in the game.  Three phantom "and one" calls for TP, 3 points awarded for a 2 point jumpshot for Mason, Farmar getting shoved out of bounds by TP but no call.  IMO only Finely tried harder to win the game for the Spurs than the refs.  The Lakers should have swept the Spurs this year but that lucky Mason shot pulled one out for the Spurs.

Owned!
