Title: Yahoo fantasy site offline?

can you get in our league site at Yahoo today?

I get timed out constantly.

turned firewall off temporarily, didn't change.

well, i had in idea and unplugged the LAN cable, disabled wireless and put in my UMTS card ... and bam, everything worked fine.

so it's either my broadband router blocking traffic or my internet provider blocking the whole fantasy site
(but sports.yahoo.com is working, just not the fantasy link there.

Yeah.  a 100% packet loss.  That would be bad.

The last 4 or so hops would be yahoo.com IP's.  I'd call up equinix.net and ask 'em wtf is up.  That's where your connection is dying.  If the next hop isn't their fiber, then they should at least be able to find out who it should be.

when i use my dial-up connection from the same notebook it's working perfectly

Yeah.  Definitely an ISP problem, not a yahoo problem.
