We are going to see just how good each of these coaches really are!

Where's the "YUCK!" button?

These guys have no chance of turning around these teams without major changes made in personnel.  The real question is which will get the bigger headlines.

If you want to talk impact coaches, let's talk Dwyane Casey, Nate McMillan, Maurice Cheeks, George Karl (who now has health issues - prostate cancer), Terry Stotts, and Avery Johnson.  Every one of those guys has at least a chance to change things around.

Joe -- one of the things we have all heard about these guys is what a great coach they are!  If they are REALLY that awesome, they SHOULD make a difference for their teams.  I'm not talking championships -- I'm talking playoffs.

The Knicks will make the playoffs.  In spite of Isiah Thomas.

IMO, it will be very difficult for the Knicks to make the playoffs this season, even if they get Brown, I don't think they have enough decent players to be one of the top 8 in the East.

In fact, we might see both Phil and Larry not make it to the playoffs.  Wouldn't THAT be something!

I agree with Joe V.  one of the coaches he mentioned will be the one with the biggest impact.

I also cannot see how this Knicks lineup could do anything but....

The Atlantic takes merely a .500 record to get 1st place and #3 seed.
Not that the Knicks will get 1st in 2006, i dont think they will.
However Larry has won and turned around all 6 places he has been.
He's freakin 6-6.  Or is it 7-7 or 8-8?

He took the Clippers to the playoffs.

Even if Knicks fail to make playoffs next year, he will turn NY around in his stint there.  Even if its making them above 500 and 2nd round outs, he'll do that in 3 years or less.  Finals?  Again, this is a guy who took the Clippers to the playoffs.
Bunch of others to the finals.

Gotta believe some player deals are in the works.

Maybe with Larrys payoff from Det he will hire hit men to convince Allan Houston and other salary drainers that its time to retire.

Phil is baffling.  I knew he would take the job when in a press conference 10 days prior he said rebuilding would be okay with him.  Stern/NBA hasn't stepped in -yet.
I just can't see what he's up to.  Was 6 percent ownership part of the deal?

Obviously if Phil or Larry succeed, their legacy goes into the statosphere.  If they fail, do you tarnish it?
