Not sure if you guys are experiencing the same, but Realgm is really starting to slow down for me.

Philadelphia 76ers / Eddie Jordan Fired - Moving Forward
« on: April 15, 2010, 09:01:16 AM »
Good riddance.  He's out.  Now, a couple questions for everyone here (man, its been eons since I've posted here).

Who does everyone think will be coaching this team next year?

Who does everyone want to coach this team next year?

Who does everyone think we might target for the job?

Wow... its been awhile since I've posted here.   8)

That 5 game win streak disgusted me.  No development for the kids, playing ourselves out of a top 5 pick.  Fortunately, EJ was quick to put an end to it all with that 2nd half starting lineup of Ivey, Holiday, Green, Iguodala, and Dalembert (or was it Smith?) the other night against Toronto.  We came back (or should I say Lou came back), but Toronto made a strong push in the 3rd quarter against that lineup.

My personal theory is that EJ was feeling the pressure from his horrible 12 man rotation and his idea of fixing it is to leave the same lineup on the court for the whole 2nd half... completely disregarding the fact that it was the front end of a back to back.  Speights/Carney/Holiday should have come in for the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th to give some of our starters a rest.

Good stuff Derek/Jem.

The man sounds more and more clueless every time I hear him speak.

Did Jordan speak after the game?  I haven't seen any post game quotes or anything.  I'm interested to hear him try to explain the logic to his 2nd half rotations.

I was waiting for EJ to change that lineup in the 4th, but it just never happened...

Philadelphia 76ers / Potential blockbuster with Houston?

Anyone putting any stock into this?  They apparently have discussed potential deals involving McGrady/Brand, and perhaps Iguodala and others.... although according to the source its been about a week since there have been any discussions.

Interested to see where everyone stands on this.  I for one would be fine with moving Brand for McGrady, and perhaps someone like Lou so that we could avoid the luxury tax, get out from under Brand's contract, and have some money in free agency... but I'd certainly be hesitant to part with Iguodala in any deal for McGrady.

Six Sixers in double figures, the offense is looking more and more like a smooth running machine, with both inside and outside scoring, timely passing and concerted defensive effort.  They really do look like they have turned the corner now. It started with the Boston game and coincided with the return of Speghts and Williams. This game Lou got back to what he was when he started the season, 20 pts. on 9-15 with 4 bds, and 4 dimes. Iguodala and Iverson also had great games.

Jordan kept Brand and Speights minutes down, I hope he was thinking ahead to tomorrow night. Kamen was very tough on the Sixers last time.  I do think the Sixers will win their revenge match tomorrow, however, now that our guards are healthy.

This may have been a little premature.

It's a combo, imo.

Maybe he feels Speights gets plenty of minutes and that Smith's 11 isn't excessive.  He might also be starting to see what me and Brand have been bitching about: Speights defense sucks and his rebounding is maybe worse.  He's barely half a player.

But I know, I know.  Everyone loves the offense.  It makes for better highlights. ;)

We goin' on a 3-game win streak??

Ok, I see that on Speights rebounding/defense, but is Smith really going to be an improvement?
