Philadelphia 76ers / Eddie Jordan Fired - Moving Forward
« on: April 15, 2010, 09:01:16 AM »
Good riddance.  He's out.  Now, a couple questions for everyone here (man, its been eons since I've posted here).

Who does everyone think will be coaching this team next year?

Who does everyone want to coach this team next year?

Who does everyone think we might target for the job?

Philadelphia 76ers / Potential blockbuster with Houston?

Anyone putting any stock into this?  They apparently have discussed potential deals involving McGrady/Brand, and perhaps Iguodala and others.... although according to the source its been about a week since there have been any discussions.

Interested to see where everyone stands on this.  I for one would be fine with moving Brand for McGrady, and perhaps someone like Lou so that we could avoid the luxury tax, get out from under Brand's contract, and have some money in free agency... but I'd certainly be hesitant to part with Iguodala in any deal for McGrady.

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers Vs. Nets - 11/6
« on: November 06, 2009, 02:48:47 PM »
Nets are the only remaining winless team in the league, and this scares me.  Aside from us not matching up with them very well, they will be hungry to get their first win and we're flat out struggling on both ends.  Games like this are never a walk in the park for the 76ers.  Anybody else have a bad feeling about this one?

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers Vs. Suns - 10/18
« on: October 18, 2009, 10:40:56 AM »
Sixers and Suns are squaring off again today, this time in Monterray, Mexico.  The game will be on NBATV at 7pm, so that should give everyone a nice gap filler between Eagles and Phillies on this cold and rainy Sunday.

I'd like to see the starters, mainly Brand and Iguodala, come out a little more fired up tonight, but even more so I'd like to see Holiday, Speights, and Smith get extended minutes again.  Tip off is at 7pm.

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers Vs. Suns - 10/16

We're playing Phoenix tonight in their house.  They don't play a whole lot of defense, and they have some guys that we won't be able to defend.  Hopefully Holiday, Speights, and Smith get extended minutes tonight.  Frankly, that's all I'd like to see.  Tip off is at 10pm.  If anyone can find a stream it would be great if you could share the love.

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers Vs. Knicks 10/13/09
« on: October 13, 2009, 11:37:01 AM »
Knicks like to play up tempo and have a lot of guys who can spread the floor.  They also don't really play defense, so hopefully we can run the offense a little better tonight.  I'm sure the Nate vs. Lou show will be in full effect... unfortunately.

The game is on MSG if anyone gets that channel... tip off is at 7:30.

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers Vs Nets - 10/9 - 7pm
« on: October 09, 2009, 12:58:21 PM »
This game is being broadcasted on Sixers.com.  Does anyone know if there will be video?  or is it just sound?

The Nets have some shooters and Devin Harris is a hand full.  I'm also interested to see how Dalembert and Speights approach Lopez.  On the other side, I really don't see anyone on NJ who can contain Young and Iguodala, so I'd expect them to have decent showings.  Hopefully Jrue gets a little run with some starters this time.

Anyone know of any live streams available to watch this game?  I've been unsuccessful in my search and tip off is fast approaching!

Did anyone stay up for this one?  Because it was worth the wait.  Good Karma baby!

Philadelphia 76ers / 3/13 - Final game at Spectrum vs. Chicago
« on: March 12, 2009, 12:58:46 PM »
Will anyone besides myself be in attendance for this one?  Just an FYI, I believe Stub Hub still has some upper level tix available that are reasonably priced.

As for the game itself, Chicago won't be an easy win if they're on, but they've also displayed a few chemistry issues since the trade.  It's a tough one to predict considering both teams are wildly inconsistent at the moment.  I just hope we show up for this one.

Philadelphia 76ers / MRI shows Brand's shoulder is healing

He's expected to be in uniform tomorrow vs. Indiana.  The article doesn't really go beyond that.  Whether or not he plays tomorrow remains to be seen.  Personally, I say keep him off the floor until after the all star break.

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers vs. Bobcats 1/9/09

I have a feeling we take this one.  Hopefully they play like they have every intention of evening the series.  A 3 game win streak would be a nice birthday present.

Philadelphia 76ers / Sixers @ Milwaukee - 1/7 - 8pm

Second of a back to back coming off one of their better W's of the season.  Hopefully we can get out and run on these guys.  Would be nice to see Speights match-up against Villanueva off the bench since Charlie V usually owns Evans.  Despite Sessions being on my fantasy team, hopefully Skiles continues to defer to Ridnour for this one considering he can't guard Miller at all.  Should be a good one.

First real game for DiLeo after getting a chance to work with the team.  Would be nice to see Miller rack up more assists than shot attempts again, but wouldn't be surprised to see him look for his shot with Luke Ridnour defending him.  They do have some guys who can stretch the floor...would be nice to see us put up more of a fight defensively from the perimeter and force them to take contested shots or make them play inside.  Sessions vs. Lou should be a nice little match-up off the bench.
